Please consider adding the top 12 allergies to food labels in bold instead of just the top 10. Europe includes mustard as one of the top 12 allergens listed on food labels and not because it is popular but because it is dangerous for those affected. My husband has a severe mustard allergy. Even trace amounts will make him feel like he is having a heart attack. In Europe they understand this and include Mustard as one of the allergens they list out on food labels. Mustard is so hard to avoid because it can be hidden. Please save us and other families like us the stress and worry of accidental exposure to mustard by including it in the food allergies list.
The 14 allergens that must be labeled on food in the European Union are:
cereals containing gluten, milk, eggs, nuts, peanuts, soybeans, fish, crustaceans, molluscs, celery, lupin, sesame, mustard, and sulphites
