Toll Tag interoperability has been proposed, and already exists in parts of the Country.
My Toll Tag in Texas works on all 5 Toll Systems in Texas, plus Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado and parts of Florida.
On the East Coast, E-ZPass works in a number of states.
The biggest challenge is that not all of the systems use the same technology, but they’re heading that direction, so making the interoperability work takes time.
