Incentive for illegal immigrants to leave the country quickly

Prioritize Those Illegal Immigrants Who Leave the Country Quickly

I propose that instead of just incentivizing illegal immigrants to leave to just be eligible to return to the United States, create a priority incentive for return consideration based upon the order in which they registered to leave and left. So the order for considering and processing people to enter the country would be as follows:

  1. Those that have followed the proper consideration process and never entered the country illegally.
  2. Those that have entered the country illegally but have registered and left the country in the order that they were processed [i.e. first to leave - first to be considered to return]
  3. Those that have entered the country illegally and never registered to leave and were caught, no ability to have the opportunity to return.

Given the amount of cost to track down people to deport, creating this incentive [or “carrot”] for illegal immigrants to be the first to leave will likely get them to act more quickly thus saving significant costs. It also would be a fairer way to prioritize citizenship to those who take initiative and reward them. Sub-incentives to move up the priority list could be willingness to learn English and serve in our military.
