Forbid TV drug commercials /and require financial disclosures from doctors

Exactly! There is no need credible need for advertisements of drugs and new drugs. In fact, until the 70’s it was against the law to advertise medical drugs. Until then, often our doctors kept a supply of common meds in their office for direct dispense to the patient. Generally that was a $2.00 charge added to the $6.00 office visit. Things changed rapidly when the medical world got into advertising. You can trace it all back to that.

Then came George Bush. During his reign it was decided that no one should suffer of anyone pain. Doctors were required to as patients were in pain and if so, offer pain pills.
The doctors even had to keep a notice regarding pain and needed treatment on their office wall. Dependency bloomed!
… and then came Obama. His scheme was to limit healthcare by making it a corporate entity. Professional care became nonexistent… our trusted family doctors get only about $50.00 for an office visit, but boy can they get big kick-backs for pushing a new drug, and sending their patients to two or three specialists for tests and procedures they probably don’t need, all the while keeping the patient all within the same corporate network that writes the checks to each professional utilized.

The best way to solve the medical problem? Get government and large corporations out of the medical business, stop medical advertising, and let well trained, dedicated doctors be doctors.

For What the drug companies spend on advertising is uncalled for. One 30 second ad would pay for 97 insulin dependent people for one year

:100: ads just fuel the greedy pharmaceutical drug pushing. Patients should not be asking for drugs because they saw a tv ad

These pharmaceutical companies have SOOOO MANY ADS! On almost constantly describing people’s symptoms and how their new pill will solve the problem and to just ask your doctor about the drug. The side effects of the drug are terrible but they show people laughing and having a great time and some catchy music. It’s so deceptive. And we are bombarded with so many ads.
