Charitable donations

Currently corporations get tax breaks for donating to charities or other organizations. Often, the American people do not ever receive benefit to these donations. In fact, some companies own other companies and donate to themselves for tax breaks.

I believe there should be a policy or bill written that would require a company to apply a certain percentage of any donate to the bills if its service users. For example… if an organization donates to a power company, the power company would be required to provide a credit to each customer evenly distributing 50% of the donation back into the American people. OR perhaps larger tax breaks for someone who uses their charitable contribution to pay utility bills or bank notes directly to individual accounts. Some way to encourage those who CAN give, to give to their fellow Americans instead of these corporations who’s CEOS continue to line their pockets.

If we could encourage those charitable contributions to be used in a way that benefits our low income or even citizens in general I believe it would help our economy more than padding the pockets of CEOS who are running these “charitable organizations” for profit
