My proposal is absolutely a policy change.
Medicare covers the 97810 code(Acupuncture, 1 or more needles), but they will not pay an acupuncturist to do it.

Sorry, but insurance is a business. Health insurance is more complicated than car insurance. let us look at 2022 Auto accident - there were 235M Licensed drivers, 7M auto crashes, 42.5K fatalities, 2.3M injuries. When we buy auto insurance we select our auto accident protection plan. Some drivers will carry 25K in auto liability limits and some will carry over a million is insurance limits. If the auto insurance company pays an average of 100K for fatality injury and 50K for a non-fatality injury and 25K for property damage then the insurance company needs to collect 627B to pay for the 6M crashes. Each driver will pay $2,700.00 for their auto insurance. (based on my coverage limits and non-accident history I pay 6K a year) but there is only a 2.5% chance that I will make a claim during the policy period. The insurance company uses the car insurance to pay to cover the crash claims of other drivers. I would have to drive my car for 40 years to reach a 100% probity of being involved in crash. In this example I would pay about 108K for auto coverage over 40 years. If I had no auto coverage but had a crash that killed a person than I could be liable for 100K in damage.
Similar principles apply to health insurance - a lot of people will pay for health insurance that 10 percent of the insured population will use.
The health insurance company must project how many of its covered lives will use their health insurance in a given year and what will they use it to cover, a wellness visit, cancer, heart conditions, high blood pressure, etc.
Every covered life pays for coverage but not every covered life will be diagnosed with cancer, a heart condition, and auto immune disease. As the population ages and become frail and exposed to diseases the more each person must pay for their health insurance protection. If all the covered lives were a nursing home residents where utilization the coverage is 100% how much must each resident pay for their use of health insurance. America, as a nation is sick - listen to Robert Kennedy Jr. Americans today or sick and there are no drugs that will cure what is wrong with our medical system. We are each responsible for our health and if he buy health care insurance we are also paying for the 35M people who will use their health insurance during the year. Now add a surprise illness which will call covid19. Now instead of 35M people use their coverage we have 100M, 200M needing to use their health insurance. Where does health insurance company get the money needed to this Plandemic?

We must have our own healthcare choice- I donât need Pharma drugs I need herbs and theyâre more money than I care to share when I cannot harvest myself. Theyâre not tax deductible but better yet- ABOLISH THE IRS BC TAXES ARE UNCONSTITUTIONAL

This! Please make holistic medicine mainstream again. Get the WHO and elites out of our health. Mainstream western medicine is a sick model money grabâŚat our expense. Please encourage more studies on natural remedies, like the GAPS diet, for autoimmune diseases. Make my insurance company cover alternative treatments. Thank you!

I agree. There should be that option for those who choose holistic, natural medicine. im post transplant (kidney)starting my 35th year. i was born with polycystic kidney disease(hereditary) one of the anti-rejection meds i take is a steroid and it got grandfathered in and it does horrible things to me along with the other one. they wont let me off of it. some possible holistic things i could do to help myself i cant take cause i cant take it with that medicine. I feel trapped in this sick-care system. They can put people into space , but cant come up with a way to help transplant recipients not have to take meds. some years ago i heard of a synthetic kidney possibly being developed-still waiting. these meds are hurting me alot.

Bio Identical therapies are still a synthetic and not a great option for true healing. I offer as a functional medicine practitioner herbal combinations that heal the body and in turn allow the body to heal properly and do what it is innately designed to do. There are cases where a person would âneedâ synthetics, where the current system has Killed via radiation or other means (removal) part of the system that creates hormones with in the body.
I know a man who used to work for the insurance companies, his job was to analyze your records that your Dr keeps and by design he can tell you to the very month based on Diagnosis and prescriptions when you will die.
He left that job and now advocates for natural healing and herbal remedies. We can make a huge difference in healing. I personally offer DNA testing that I can see over 1500 snips of information, you can never change your DNA but you do have a choice weather that âhot Spotâ of genetically passed down Cancer gene is activated or lays dormant. It is all in how you live and the choices you make to put it very simply.
You do have choices and very few people realize it! We need the opportunity to educate people and turn this whole thing around by offering the choice.

Also would it not make it more cost effective if we actually got what we paid for. Insurance is paying all providers the same across the board no matter if the provider is successful in healing or not. Do we pay the same across the board for another service or product that we buy? No we do not. There is always the top doctors of their class and the one who just barely scooted by. I do not want to pay top dollar for a service that will end up causing me more issues or may not even find the actual issue at hand.
Too many times patients are turned away and sent to multiple specialist before they finally find the one who really takes the time to see the person and their pain. By that time how much money, medication and test has that patients had to go through? How much pain and suffering? Sometimes years and by then do they even have a chance? Mean while the insurance and drug companies are raking in the dough while we the patient suffer, get dismissed or told we are crazy.
Why do I want to have a surgery by a doctor that does not have quite the success rate of another but yet pay the same? This is crazy to think about when so many of us have had at least a similar situation.
Doctors and providers should be rated on their success and as consumers be able to make the best qualified decision when it come to our health care. This is our life we are talking about here. Not only would that bring prices down and make it more competitive but it would also hold these providers accountable for not providing adequate care.
They would have to learn alternative care and research and stay on top of their game to stay in the game. This would demand from the consumer that we hold them accountable and they do their do diligence to not just see you as another patient or another medication but to see you and your illness for what it really is.
When we look at the leading causes of death within the United States number one is heart disease at 702,880 people per year number 2 cancer at 608,371 based off of the CDC website and number 3 cause of death a year in the United states is malpractice coming in at over 250,000 deaths per year some say may even be upward to 440,000 based on how the death certificate was filled out. This tells me, as Americans we are getting the worst food and the worst care provided but yet we are paying top dollar and barely getting the bare minimum. When malpractice out ranks unintentional accidents, covid 19, stroke, chronic lower respiratory disease, Alzheimerâs disease, diabetes, nephritis and chronic liver disease we have a problem and someone should be held accountable. Maybe then we can actually get what we are paying for.

We arenât free until we can guide our own health. This is so much more than just vax or no vax. We want to be healthier, know WHY we have Symptoms and work to fix not merely treat. I pay approx 16k a year for âaffordable careâ insurance in CA and thats before any treatment and we are not rich⌠even then I canât see a doctor that practices the way I want to be treated. for that I would have to spend more and go out of pocket. It has been suggested that I buy crappy insurahce to save money then pay cash to see the kind of dr I want to seeâŚ.this is insanity and leaves me unprotected if I have a serious condition that needs a specialist. this needs fixing stat!

I was one of the first acupuncturists to bill insurance companies, back in '99. We sued Blue Cross and won. I just billed Medicare for the first time ever. I registered years ago, but they wonât give me a number. If I get a denial I can bill the secondary- it I feel they wonât even do that.
My experience with anything federal has always been very positive on the promises to pay and very very negative on actual reimbursement- they literally have lied to me and ignored communication.
I was a holistic life coach and I 100% believe that insurance companies should pay for holistic practices

They have been proven to work for me and my family. I am 63 years old and have not needed a doctor for over 6 years, and then it was for a knee injury. I am active and pain/issue free. I wouldnât touch toxic prescription medicine with a 10 foot pole. They only ease symptoms while harming brain, kidney, liver, pancreas and/or muscle health. Holistic treatments were used back when the majority of the population was NOT sick, obese, autistic or diabetic. Please keep your mind open to it, the alternative is dangerous.
