Governments should not be the largest employer. It creates layers in which accountability gets hidden, passed to others, forgotten.
Like all systems, to improve performance, bottlenecks need to be removed. A leaner structure provides more observability, accountability and performance, with more efficiency and increased speeds.
It will also allow for additional funds to be dispersed to states and those in need and towards innovation.
Having more accountability, improves the performance on those in positions, to execute on their duties without influence of a wider team. They won’t have anyone to fall back on, or departments to push negative feedback too.
It also allows for efficiency because of the removal of the bottlenecks and layers needed to approve things. Speed also here.
Imagine getting access to funds quicker in emergency situations because there’s less politics involves and more common sense
Imagine the extra funds available because of the reduced workforce and how well allocated it will be to benefits others, because of a leaner, more observed system.
