Kids today graduate high school without any life skills and is causing tremendous issues. Not only should schools have Home Ec they also need to have vocational programs to have students graduate with certifications and life skills to enter the work force right out of high school without having to go to college for 4 years and take on tens of thousands of dollars in debt. Not every student should go to college and THAT IS OK! We need to make sure that we are sending those who don’t go to college with the skills they need to navigate the adult world. Such simple things will help keep future families together and increase birth rates as people will start off strong and be able to confidently and financially support a family. Which fundamentally is one of the most important issues we have in this nation.
